Fuddruckers is the ONLY place where I eat the buns on the hamburgers and hot dogs...they're SOOOOO good! I absolutely LOVE their hot dogs! (never been much of a hamburger fan)

Cool shots..I was up there on Saturday..I am going back there this Saturday and staying for 7 days..Great place isn't it...Yes, I love the area....which campground are you going to be in? We like to boondock just south of Sheep Bridge CG.

Tree at Wikiup Reservoir. Notice the roots -- the bank has eroded away and the tree's roots have turned back to the bank. We've watched this tree for 20 years - waiting for it to go into the lake, but it keeps hanging in there!

Not sure if this is the right forum area....but
20/20 had a bit on tires --- and how certain stores are selling them when they 12+- years old!!! Here's a link if you missed it...20/20 It might explain why some of you have had blown tires when you haven't overloaded your rigs.

RE: Lowest price for gas you remember in the past?
1965 - getting my permit. Requirement was to pay for my own gas. Gas was $.05 a gallon.....DANG...I feel so OLD given the price of gas today! And I remember a gas war where it went down to $.03 a gallon -- I was in hog heaven!

You've gained experience -- so all is not bad. BTW - I've been known to hire people with LESS experience......we had one interviewee that blew everyone away...it was a "group interview". She totally intimidated all the other applicants. We did NOT hire her even though she was more experienced and educated. The problem was - she thought she was better, projected a holier than thou attitude, and we felt she wouldn't work well with her co-workers should we hire her. So -- don't feel intimidated....you just never know!

I'm so sorry you're going thru this. Cancer is such an ugly disease! You and your family are in our prayers. Hang in there, you'll find out just how strong you are. I've been in your shoes. Go ahead and find something to kick and scream your heart out. You can vent any time you want with us. I didn't let it out and I ended up having a heart attack after the fact......darn near destroyed myself! God bless you.

Good deal mom, stick to your guns. My 13 yr old DGD was given a cell phone by her father (parents are divorced). He was told he should NOT allow internet access....he assured my DD that GD knew the rules.......would you believe she ran up a $3000.00 bill!!!! LOL LOL LOL I laugh because dumb idiot told my daughter she was responsible for 1/2 the bill. This from the guy that won't hold a job to pay child support. Course DD told him what he could do with the bill!!!! And yes, phone got taken away.

Okay - I worked for them....don't let them get to you. Just take deep breaths before the interview, admit to them that you're nervous (amazing how compassionate you get -- they also then know it's nerves and not your normal state), and GET names! I want to know who interviews you! Which department?

I wonder how many more waste water treatment plants discharge upstream of where California draws its drinking water.
Lakeview, OR is the coolest town in Oregon. It's the only town that sends it's toilet water to LA for them to drink.
It is near the headwaters of the Pit river - the Pit river is a tributary of the Sacramento, and the Sacramento feeds the California Aqueduct.
The amount of recycling in California pales in comparison to the Mississippi river basin. How many towns use the Mississippi as their drinking water?AAAAHHHH -- ANOTHER plus for living in Lakeview!!!!! Sending our waste to California!!!!
